Elmer R. SteffenBURDETT — Elmer R. Steffen, 64, was dead on arrival at St. Joseph's Hospital in Larned st 7 p.m. Wednesday, apparently of a heart attack. He was a farmer and stockman in .the Burdett area for 50 years. He was born in Ellin wood, June 28. 1902. He was married to ‘Gladys Shockey at Larned on March 24. 1926. He was a mem-:ber of the March C- Norris Memorial Methodist Church in Burdett.He is survived by the widow and two sons, Cecil and Leon, all of JBrudeit: two brothers, Lewis of Burdett and George •of Ulysses: and five grand -children.Funeral services will be conducted at the church in Burdett, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Bill Dial, officiating. Bur-' ial will be in Brown's Grove Cemetery at Burdett. Friends may call this evening and Friday at the Vernon Funeral Home in Larned.
