Golden To Be Speaker At Civic Unity DinnerHarry Golden, editor of the Carolina Israelite and famed author of best-selling books, will be the featured speaker at a dinner to be given by the Greater Phoenix Council for Civic Unity next February 25, Herbert Ely, president, announced this week.At the same time the CivicUnity Council will release a new booklet reporting the achievementsand problems of the group. It is being prepared by the council’s co-ordinating research committee and will be titled “To Secure These Rights/’Friday evening of this week the council is giving a general membership dinner at the Desert Sun Motel, 1325 Grand Ave., with Mayor Sam Mardian and members of the Phoenix city council as guests.Newly-announced committee assignments of the council include Rabbi Milton Shulman as a member of both the education and coordinating committees, Herbert B. Finn as chairman of the housing committee and member of the coordinating committee, and Mrs. Fran Wald man as chairman of the program committee.
