Sklllen says he has met the enemy and surrendered for the first time in his life. “I attended an old friend's funeral some time ago and listened to a good funeral oration and while there wondered what the good man of Cod would say of him if he was the other man. I had a struggle to get to the church and afterward went to tin* doctor's office and came home with powder and pills und dopes and scpiills and retired to the room Valentine's day 150 days ago. and have never been out since and* never expect to go out alive. He asked that the boys write him a farewell letter. The letter was written to him and signed by every comrade present expressing sadness and bidding him good-by.The next reunion will be held at Hiawatha Park, Mount Vernon. Ohio, and the date will be named by the president and secretary.
