Thla being the case the actual work of hoisting the pole will not be done until Friday \ and itoaalbly not until Saturday. The exact time will be announced I tomorrow.Arrangements have been madewith the street ear company to have the hoisting power furnished by oneI of the electric care.Those In charge of the work state (hat everybody will be welcome to i witness the hoisting of the big stick, but that all must keep at ruch a distance aa to bo out of danger In case of accident and as not to Interfere with the workmen. 1The placing of the rigging In the avenue and the presence of the pole ! there will practically cloe* the street : for a time and tboee who hs^oe-rasion to croet the railway will hmre to reach Alma street by way of l.ytton or Hamilton. It will be necessary to cut but one of the overhead cablet.
