July 2S. — Light-nine; shrunk the house of Fay Vin-nedgr, three miles south of Cedar Lake during the storm early Sunday morning resulting in a total loss.The* Lowell fire department, an-s we red the rail, iut the. tire hadgained such headway that it wouldnot be cheeked. Corn was either flattened or the leaves were shredded, leaving only the bare stalks standing. Most of the oats had already been cut. Many smallbuildings were unroofed by tin*, gale and trees were Id own over. The damage was particularly heavy in Che ba use.
