Cleveland, O., July 28, (UP.)—The successful business woman of today is neither the mannish woman with her stiff collar and gruff voice nor the flapper with her powder and paint. Mrs. Jesse L. Chapman, secretary of the Land and Title Abstract company declared today in taking a fling at the two types. “Altho the mannish woman is anxious to make a career for herself and she devotes much time to her work, she seldom has the manner and appearance that lends itself to suc cess in business,” Mrs. Chapman said. “On the other hand,” she said, “the flapper with her rolled stockings and short sleeves, rouge and powder and irresponsible manner seldom gets in to our office. If she does get into bus iness, she seldom, if ever, makes good.”
