T. J. Deen was in Eckerty Mon day. Joe Saalman was in Cannelton on business last week. George Saddler and family spent Sunday at A. A. Hearey’s. Frank Galey and family spent Sunday at Andy Goldman’s, near West Fork. Mrs. Matissa Gibson and son, Elbert, of Oriole, visited at Mar shal Land’s Monday. Mrs. George Tweedy and baby, of Indianapolis, are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Porter Esarey. Willie Frakes returned home Friday after spending several days with his son, Hiram Frakes, of Orleans, Ind. . Henderson Deen, wife and little daughters returned to their home SE ghatst Ay .. after spending a week with relatives here. — The draft has taken quite a number of our young men through the country here. The ones draft ed from this place are Will Pol lard, Leroy and Herbert Quinlin. All are married. Saturday, August 11th is the date set for a Flag Raising at this place. Sol. H. Esarey, of India napolis, will give an address and possibly more able speakers whose names will appear later will ad dress the crowd. The day will be spent in the grove near the church. Refreshments will be sold and the proceess donated to the Red Cross fund. Everyone should be willing to give a small amount at least to this great cause.
