SECOND WEEK DISPOSES OF A LARGE PORTION OF THE DOCK ET OF BOTH CRIMINAL AND CIVIL CASES. Boone circuit court continuing throughout this week has disposed of much important litigation. Closing its work Monday, the grand jury handed in twenty-five bills of in dictment. H. P. Evatt was indicted for murder in the first degree for the killing of Insurance Adjuster (. A. Chambers; this case will be continued until next court. Criminal, Morris Pullen was given four years in the penitentiary for grand larceny and burglary, with recommendation that he be sent to the reform school. The charge against his brother, Paul, in the same case was continued, partys being in army service. Demard Taylor, drunkenness nailed, William Wright false pretense, nailed. Cal Johnson and Tom Johnson, ag gravated assault, hung jury, con tinued. Gus Jenkins and Troy Tucker, dis turbing the peace; continued. Gus Perry, gaming; nolled. Lehman Wilson, gaming, nolled. Ernie Sloan, gaming, pleaded guilty; fined $15. Troy Tucker, Gus Jenkins, appear ing drunk at public gathering, con tinued. Frank Carlton, selling liquor; con tinued. Common Law Docket. D. A. Hoff, suit on note; dismissed O. Farquharson, vs. M. N. A. rail road, damages; $300 judgment. Christian Taylor, vs. C. St Mc Cary; $50 judgment. S. W. Hutchinson, vs. List Gif ford Construction Co., dismissed, G. W. Huffman, vs. Bob Williams and Bill Settles, appeal; judgment for plaintiff. R. 0.
