Descendant Of 1812 HeroGulfport, Miss, July 24 — Sidney Cuevas of Harrison county has the distinction of being the first man in the county called under the new draft system to serve his country. Mr. Cuevas is a descendant of Juan Cuevas, who figured so prominently in the War of 1812, for which serv ice the United States government granted him Cat Island on the gulf.Mr. Cuevas’ number was 258, and was No. 1 in the Harrison County call.
