The result of this naturally means that It m a larSe Per cent tile people who at one time broke a bone are today with enlarged, crooked, or useless limbs. This does not necessarily mean carelessness or ignorance on the part of the physician or surgeon who rest the fractured parts. The swelling which follows all fractures may have been so intense or the fat or muscular tissues in such quantity, that correct apposition would have been simply an accident or else the peculiarity of the ends of the broken parts may have prevented the best surgeon from properly reducing the fracture.Today in cities which have fully equipped hospitals, it is criminal for a surgeon to reset a broken bone without obtaining at least every two or three days an X-Ray picture of same or placing it before the Fluoroscope, where can be seen the actual position of the bones.The New Hospital to be erected at Bethany Park will be fully equipped for this kind of work and will be thrown open to the physicians and citizens of Morgan County. The New Hospital will also be fully prepared to make complete analysis of all the body’s excretions, the various blood tests, etc. It will carry in stock the various antitoxins for your physician s use. It will be prepared to administer for the family physician the different inter- and intra-venous and muscular solutions and the transfusion of blood. These are things that often mean the saving of life.These are things which are essential to our own work. When we are in operation at Bethany, it will be our desire to give our patients every benefit of medical science; to correctly diagnose their case; and to be able to apply the proper treatment.
