Crawford Claim* to Have Killed Gordon inSelf-Defense.The authorities so far have not been able to catch up with Henry Crawford. His friends claim thathe killed Gordon in self-defense,and will be on hand at the next term of the court ready for trial. They say that the Gordons followed them up, cursing iftid abusing them, and old man Gordon would keep them supplied with whiskey and urged themon to get up a fuss. It is the general opinion that olJ Gordon could have stopped -the difficulty at anytime, as he had complete control ofhis boys. Crawford was in two steps of Gordon when he shot, and young Gordon was in the act of striking Crawford when the killing was done. There is a terrible fued between the two iamilies, and we may yet hear of bad times overthere. Since the killing terrible threats have been made and both parties go aror.ed all the time.
