He was in the eighty-fifth year of his age, and for sixty years a prominent and faithful member of the Methodist Church. His sick bed utterances were peculiarly touching. They marked the majestic confidence of Christian faith. He was the father of Rev. George M. Winton, of the St. Louis Conference, who will have the affectionate sympathy of his brethren in this bereavement. TheNashville Advocate and our papers circulatingin East Tennessee and Virginia are requested to copy the obituary.
