(Week of July 17) 4-H COUNCIL MEETS The Madison-Jefferson 4-H Coun cil meeting was led by Mrs. John Anderson Jr. of Alder, vice -press ident in the Twin Bridges Recrea tion Hall. There were 30 leaders and junior leaders from the ‘two counties attending this semi-year ly meeting. The group decided to again spon sor a frozen fruit sale as a means of raising money for the council fund. With the permission of the Fair Board the group will charge for trailer space ‘at the fair grounds. “The | -Money from this rental will go toward the installing of more ‘@eets 21 ‘hookups for other trail ers. They aill 4 announced that a horse manship demonstration day will be held in Whitehall at the rodeo grounds July 21 starting at 10 in the morning.A. A. Jacobsen, Ex tension Livestock Specialist from Bozeman, will demonstrate how to train and show horses. The Trail Blazers 4-H Club, mem bers assisted by leader, Mrs. Mitch Boken, served refreshments. CENTER BOYS BUSY Some of the high school boys from the Children’s Center are on vacation or on summer jobs but those remaining are enjoying trips. Ten of the high school boys from Ponderosa Hall went camping on the Upper Ruby Wednesday through Saturday. They accepted the invitation of a rancher to use his granch as their stomping grounds for the four days. The house dad, Robert Glick and the boy’s summer supervisor, Jack Donegan accompanied the boys. The biggest fish caught in the pond during the week at the Cen ter weighed five pounds and eight ounces and the happy boy was Frank Little Boy, 16. His trout was an Albino. Each week a con test winner at the Center receives a prize for the largest fish..
