Open house on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 10 o'clock will honor Sgt. George Mihalich, who ends his to day leave Monday before reporting to the west coast for reassignment. The open house will be held at the home of Sgt. Mihalich’s sister, Mrs. Nick Furdeck, 802—151st street, East Chicago, where the ser geant also makes his home. Veteran of 23 months’ service in the European war theater, Sgt. Mi halich was married in Fingland where he was stationed with an ordnance company. A son was born to he and his wife, Margaret, last Tuesday in England. The baby, who was named George, Jr. and his mother are, expected here at Christmas time.
