The Hand of Hod, to a large audience last Sunday evening at the Institute Auditorium. Father Kilian Is also the author of the play which is based on the old miracle plays. It is decidedly religious and the scenes are drawn from every-day life. The play deals with the social evils of the present day and urges a return to the old faith. The author himself takes the part of Father Hay, the -iarish priest, In the production. Considering the youthful age of the actors. Father Kilian Ls to be congratulated on the able manner in which the play was presented. The selections given between the acts deserve special 'mention. The play was also given at Albany, Sauk Center. Little Falls and twice at Melrose. The Right Reverend Bishop Busch gave a short address at the close of the performance, lie spoke words Qf praise for the author and his troupe and expressed a wish that many such plays will be given during the year throughout the diocese, as the people should be educated In religion not only from the pulpit, but also from the stage.St. Joseph: The Right Rev.
