The “Old Forge House” Sold*The Old Forge House,” on the FultoifrChain of lakes in the North Woods, is ftwell known place to many visitors to theAdirondacks. It was sold on mortgageforeclosure Friday, and purchased by Julift •J, Decamp, a daughter of Lyman R. Lyman, thus coming again into the family of its former owner. The sale included 880 aores'of what is known as John Brown!* Tract, oh, which Charles HerreshoU tried to raise sheep in 181% Failing in this he put up a forge and tried mining. He also failed in this, and Dec. 10; 1819, committed suicide. Lyman K, Lyman subsequently became owner of the property. He sold it to a man named Arnold, who gave a mortgage for $1,400 to secure a part of the purchase price, C. D. AdarOs, of Utica, was attorney for the executors of the Lyons estate, in the settlement of which the mortgage was foreclosed.
