Stiles, financial secretary.Mr. Bernard is a native of Hancock County, Mississippi, and attended parochial and public schools in that county at Bay St. Louis.He has been a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1917, when he w as initiated as a member of Pere LeDuc Council No. 1.^*2, Bay St. Louis.A veteran of World War I. he has been engaged in the production of gum naval stores through most of his business career. The company he work for in Mississippi moved its operations to Georgia in 1926, and he has made his home here since that^ime.Mrs. Bernard is the former Miss Agnes Swanson, of Mississippi, She and Mr. Bernard were married in 1923 and have four sons, the oldest twenty-eight years old and the youngest fourteen years. They have resided in Waynesville since 1932. He is vice-president of the Waynesville Naval Stores Company, Inc.
