He died Sunday evening.Reports conflict as to the cause of | the shooting, but it is said that some lewd negro women from Cairo got Mr. Marshall's pocket book and in j his efforts to recover it he was shotj by a buck uegro. jThe negro who did the shooting has but one leg and made his home j around Bikeston. He was arrested and taken to New Madrid.George Marshall was about tenty-one years of age aud a half-brother to Senator Marshall. He had the reputatiou of being a peacable young mau.
