'Thomas, of Athens, life member, in idace of Mr. Alula Johnson, deceased. They have also promoted Mr. David C. Barrow, Jr., to the adjunct professorship of Pure and Applied Mathematics, with rank and pay of professor-a deserved and subslant ial compliment. The Trustees have also petitioned the Legislature for two thousand dollars, with which increase to their endowment they hope to be able to give rice tuition to all students in every department next year. The State University will then bo opened to all the youths of the land- nil inestimable boon for the young men ol Georgia.
