Haverstick: —Died, in De Soto, Jefferson county, Mo., Feb. 17th, 186’*, Sarah Haverstick, wife of ltudolph Haverstick, and daughter of Win. and Dorreth Null.She was born in Jefferson county, Mo, October 18. 18 2. Profe-sed religion and joined the M. E. Church in 18'8, arid was soon alter wards married to liro II. Her life was that of a consistent Christian,* dways evincing deep piety and strong devotion lr. God and his cause. Her house was the home of th«. weary itinerant, and many of them will remember Her when they see this notice, and can but say that v. daughter of Israel ha? gone to the glory-land.Her afflictions were of but short duration, but ot he most intense character, being deprived of bet speech soon after taken ill. But, no withstanding, -he was enabled to talk to her friends by signs and okens. She gave the strongest evidence of her wil-insrness to depart, wh'ch she did in great peace, without a sigh or a struggle while in the monster's arms.Thus the Church is bereaved of one of her most valuable members, and the husband one of the best oi companions, and the neighborhood one of the best oi citizens; but their loss is her eternal gain.
