Sewer Work StartsConstruction of a three and a half mile sewer project along Fish Hatchery Road began Monday, under the auspices of the Southside Water and Sewer District (SWSD),When completed the system will serve 145 homes and businesses between Fry Creek and the Idaho Fish and Game Department Fish Hatchery, Work on the project is being done by the H.C. Schimmels Co.Legion Tells New ClassesFor Crnftcof Spokane.lt; SWSD President Allen Cochran estimates total cost for the system at $580,000,Cochran saidf work on the project should be finished in 210 work days.Funding for the project is coming from several sources including the Environmental Protection Agency, the state of • Idaho, a Federal Housing Authority grant and local bond issue. .When construction is completed sewage from the homes will be fed to a lagoon across from the fish hatchery where it will be pumped with oxygen and clorinated to remove toxic elements before being dispersed through a sprinkler system 4,200 feet away.
