Minister Says“Was Not Meteor”•WELLINGTON (N.Z.), Thurs.—A Baptist minister, the Rev. F. H. Carter, was among a number of people who saw a mysterious object flash aiross the sky above Hamilton, Central Waikato, shortly after 9 p.m. last Sunday.One observer described the New Zealand version of a flying: saucer as“shaped like a Rugby football with the back end cut away.”Mr. Carter said it was a solid, bright object, followed by a stream of bright vapour a n d sparks. It was steady on its course and could not ha^e been a rocket, he said. It was nothing like a meteor.(A “silver ball** was seen in the sky at 4.55 p jn. on Monday last in the Orara district.).
