ville Pioneer.Assistant District Attorney.—We learn from Washington that the T'.S. Attorney General has appointed Virgil S. Lusk, Esq., as special assistant District Attorney charged with the execution of the Kukluxbill. Mr. Lusk is instructed to open his oiliee in Raleigh, put himself in communication with the United -States Commissioners and Marshals and local State authorities in till sections of the State, and to receive reports from them of any Kuklux outrages committed ; to have warrants immediately issued for the apprehension of the offenders and witnesses, and to hold immediate examinations of the cases before the United States Commissioners, with a view of committing or binding the parties for their appearance at Court; to search up and collate the evidence for the United States in each case, and to take such other steps as may be necessary to secure the conviction of the offenders.
