NEW RESTAURANT AND STORES COMING SOONLike your ice cream sandwiches sandwiched between two cookies or two brow nies? Stax Cookie Bar is coming soon to the University Center across from UC Irvine off Campus Drive. The ice cream will be Fosselman’s brand with 16 rotating flavors, and the cookies will be fresh-baked daily.In addition to the usual cookie suspects (chocolate chip, oatmeal, etc1.) the store’s website, staxcookiebar.com. hints at some unique flavors it will be offering such as sesame green tea, orange pistachio, maple bacon and root beer float.The store is expected to open inSeptember.The Quail Hill Village shopping center off Quail Hill Parkway is getting a Johnny’s Real New’ York Pizza shop.1 The restaurant already has other locations in Newport Beach and Corona del Mar. The restaurant’s owner and namesake, Johnny Younesi, is a New- York City transplant who moved with his family to Newport Beach as a teenager.
