Thirteen boys from the Bishop Hare Home, Mission, visited the Naval Base at Norfolk, Va. They were accompanied by Father David G. DeVore, director of the Bishop Hare Home and two counselors, Daniel Iron Cloud and Derril Wright During their visit the group toured various facilities of the Naval Base. While at the Naval Station, the youths toured and had lunch aboard the guided missile heavy cruiser USS AL BANY (CG 10), the Flagship of the Second Fleet Commander. Their tour also included a visit to the heavy attack aircraft carrier USS JOHN F. KENNEDY (CVA 67) and an indoctrination visit and dinner aboard the guided missile frigate USS BELKNAP (DLG 26). After spending the night at Constitution Hall on the Naval Station, the group toured the Naval Amphibious Base at Little Creek. Before returning to Wash ington, D.C., they visited the Virginia Beach resort area. The youths who visited the Naval Base were Richard Good Weasel, Ronnie Ten Fingers, Lonnie and Dan Yellow Hair, Ray Stands, Andy Bear Shield, Dan Iron Cloud, Jr., Ambrose Belt, Don Slow Bear, Brian Rodland, Dan and James Cloud and Calvin Long Soldier.
