METEOR SEEN AT WELLINGTON.. Several Wellington people' who saw a meteor fla$h through the sky over Wellington about 7.55 p.m. on Monday, thought it could have been a ’‘flying saucer.”The meteor appeared to travel over Wellington in a northeasterly direction and plunge to earth behind Mt. Nanima.The meteor was burning brightly and had a long green tail.It created a brilliant flnsh hi the sky as it fell.Mr. A. P. Marshrnan, who was driving his car at the time, said that the flash from the meteor reflected in the windscreen and momentarily blinded him.The meteor has created great interest amongst Sydney scientists. who are anxious. to study the site at which it fell if it can be located.
