A deal was concluded Tuesday Bae tween J. M. Wilcox Jr. of Dallas and J. d. Pfaff of this city whereby the latter becomes owner of the Commer cial Hotel property here, consisting of no two story brick and one three story b rick building. The considera ton was not named in the announce ment of the transfer. MY. fart immediately engaged workmen and announced he would renovate and remodel the entire structure. He will refurnish the building with new furniture and other new, interior furnishings. He said he said he hoped to be able to announce a reopening of the hostelry within two weeks. However, he said he would ac cept “seleepers’’ within a week. Mr. Vlaff successfully conducted the Commercial Hotel here for sever al venrs until a few days ago when the hostelry was closed pending a dis position of the property by the own ers, Mrs ¢. Wright and little son, Gillette, of Ft. Worth, who recently returned from a visit in Washington, New York and other eastern cities, spent the last weekend with Mr. and Mrs. O .C. Stewart. Mrs. Wright was formerly Miss Gladys Gillette of this city. John Lawson of Altoga was a trans acting business in McKinney Monday.
