T., July 20.—[Correspondence of The Miner.]—The Boulder Dot springe for the past three weeks have been doing an unusally heavy business and the demand for accommodations still far exceeds Landlord Trotter’s most strenuous efforts to comply with. The location of these springs is said to be the most beautiful of any of Montana’s many similar resorts, and in medicinal properties the waters are par excellence tbs most valuable in the territory. The facilities for the entertainment of guests are, however, sadly deficient, and the springs will fail of their deserved popularity until considerable money is expended in the proper adornment of buildings and grounds.In this connection it is said that Helena real estate men are endeavoring to secure control of the “upper springs,” the title of which is now the basis ef litigation between A. C. Quaintance, proprietor of the Boulder springs, and Thomas Basye and Charles Howard, who claim pre-emption right to that part of the property. Mr. Lockey, the well-known real estate dealer of Helena, is representing the Helena end of the deal.The Dairy Maids’ festival, given last night by the ladies of the Episcopal church, for the benefit of the church fund, was a pronounced success, socially and , financially.President W.
