The fruits of Pulpit Politics.—The Rhode Island Congregationalists have withdrawn fellowship with the Presbyterians, of ooth geueral Assembles. A majority of the twenty churches have voted to discontinue all correspondence with the three thousand ! Presbyterian Churches of the North and South an d West.' This is a bad state of things, If the church of Christ cannot hold communion on earth, can they in Heaven? Perhaps ‘'when born anew” into the Christian faith, they expect to. Truly, this is a bad state of things for the church of the present day—a portion seeking to enslave the mind and consciences of the rest.sitie
