I i**On April 30,1944, a stunning young Wisconsin couple, Rose and Duane Beach, got married. The date wasn’t coincidence, but rather a way to honor Rose’s parents, Emma and Alfred Glanzmann, who married the same day in 1917. So when Rose’s granddaughter Jessica Bohms and her fiancS, Samuel Partington, started planning their wedding, they already knew the date.But Jessica had a lot more in mind. She re-imagined Rose’s dress, wore Rose’s ring and wedding day pearls. And she was determined to celebrate the wedding on April 30, 2017, a hundred years after her great-grandparents tied the knot and73 years after her grandparents did.Jessica and Samuel were married at the Wisconsin State Capitol on Sunday April 30th 2017, surrounded by a handful of close family and friends. They flipped a 1917 silver half dollar to decide who would recite their vows first, a nod to her great grandparents. At the close of the ceremony, the Mother of the Bride and the Mother and Sister of the Groom, sent off the couple by serenading them with their favorite song.In attendance was: Rose and Duane Beach of Monroe (Bride’s Maternal Grandparents), Janet Beach of Belleville (Mother of the Bride), Gene Bohms of Belleville (Father of the Bride), Shirley Mooney of Milton (Paternal Grandmother of the Groom), Christina Partington (Scott) of South Milwaukee (Mother of the Groom), Mike Partington (Janis) of Noblesville, IN (Father of the Groom), siblings, many aunts and uncles, and a handful of the couple's close friends.
