Thomas L. Todd of Ar lington was selected to take six days of intensive train ing in Waco with some 75 other Civil Air Patrol offi cers from all parts of the nation at the CAP’s Central National Staff College. Todd holds the CAP rank of First Lieutenant and has been active for one year and is currently serving as a member of the Crusader Squadron as the Senior Testing Officer. Leadership and manage ment training make up the course work to be taken which began July 18 and runs through Saturday. The instruction covers the latest thinking and practices cou pled with classroom exer cises with these CAP “volunteer” staff officers in order to increase their effectiveness in carrying out the duties and responsi bilities required of their postitions back in CAP re gions, wings, groups and squadrons in their home states.
