This is an automobile tour to the various places of historical interest in Madison county. Initiated by Dr. Erl Bates of Cornell University, and backed by the Farm Bureau and other civic, educational, patriotic and social groups throughout the country.It is planned to secure several carloads of people from each community in the county to attend and take part in this, the first pilgrimage 01 its citizens to historical shrines in Madison county. It is hoped it can * be made an annual event, and ultimately embrace all parts of the county.The proposed .itinerary is as follows: Assemble at Bitts Farm, near Bridgeport, where a brief program will be held between 9 and 10 a. m.; then to Lakeport, Caneseraga, Cana-stota, Nichols Pond, where luncheon and a program will be enjoyed from 12 to then to Peterhpro, where a progra mwill be given at 3; Morris-ville and Cazenovra.Orrin E. Bonney, of Oneida, is chairman, of the committee on arrangements, and he has appointed a general promotion committee, consisting ^ of several members in every town in the county. Members in Brookfield township are: Mrs. Adon Brown (chairman), on. Adon Brown, Mrs. Devillo Frair,N C. C. Craine, Louis Matteson. Hubbardsville and Poolville: R. J. Horton, chairman.
