CEDAR RAPIDS, In., July 23. (LP)—Gus Schrader, of Cedar Rap ids, took major racing hotors here yesterday, piloting his racing car home first in the ten mile final event and winning two pre liminary heats. The races were held on the dirt track at Frontier park. One accident marred the after noon. Vernon McCombs, St. Jo seph, Mo., crashed into a fence in the first race. His car ripped along the fence a short distance and then turned over. McCombs was thrown out and his left arm and two tiibs were broken. Jim Lusk, of Davenport, won the motorcycle race.
