Women Hits Telephone Pole on Wayne Street and Tears Big Hole in itSome unknown young lady in high powered automobile drove one of the springs of her csr through s big pole in front of Harry Dunham’s shoe repair shop Sunday afternoon. She proved that while the pole look* ed solid enough It was well decayed inside f r the spring penetrated several inches at she tried to turn around the traffic dummy but was going ao faat that ahe could not make the turn. Those who saw her did not get the number of her car but ray that ahe backed away from the polo and started back north about as fast as ahe had come into I town. How moen the car was damaged could not be learned but tit fact that she was able to drive away is evidence that she was driving • sturdy machine which did not n.*d a little thing like plowing through ten-inch telephone poles.
