many antes ai sea. ana me concussion lexFire.On Saturday last at about 7 o'clock ?. m„ a valuable barn belonging to Mr, Franklin Whitney, onFront street, in this village, was discovered to be on fire; and in spite .of every exertion to subdue theflames, was consumed, together with its contents....The fire took apparently in the inside of the building,which contained a large quantity of dry hay, that burned with incredible fury. There waa also some little delay in getting the engines upon the ground, as they had to he dragged through the Chenango by horses, the bridge being still impassable.
