New Building Ready For Holt ChurchOpening, services (for,.the new Holt Bapitist Church building will be held Sunday morning, July 25, according to on announcement made this week by Mrs. Wayne Powell The Rev. Vernon Pitts is pastor.'Services will begin at 11 ajm., Sunday School is at 10.The new bricks tone structure is located on the bite of the former Holt School House, .Land was donated by the Garrett Burk heirs where the 30 by 70 foot brick building was constructed, after tearing .down the old school house. The building has central air and heat. Also included are an auditorium, three classrooms, rest rooms, a kitchen and dining area.Holt Baptist Church was located just north of the new structure, when it was founded some SO years ago. It was later moved to a tabernacle south of the Holt Store and was eventually rocked. This is the present church, until the congregation begin® meeting in the new building Sunday, At times during the past 50 years, the conngragatian has (been few in number but never closed its doors. There have been 10 to 12 pastors, The Rev. Pitts and his family reside in the community,'Mrs, 'Powell says, “We cordially invite everyone to our opening services Sunday morning, or any time.
