Ten Criminal Cases Disposed Of Today—Two Sentenced To Penitentiary. Wasting no time since going into session yesterday, the Grand Jury returned six indictments this morn ing tin Circuit Court which con vened here Marchy Judge J. F. Koone of Clinevisiding. Jim Owens is foreman of the Grand Jury and Boyd Rogers is sheriff. Ten cases on the criminal docket were disposed of with two sen tenced to the penitentiary this morning and court will probably be adjourned Saturday after dis posing of the dockets in record time. Lee Wilhelm and Cleo West in dicted in two cases each for grand larceny and escape from the Boone County Jail each entered pleas of guilty in both cases and were given three years each in the state: penitentiary with the sentences to run concurrently and an order of transfer to the reform school at Pine Bluff each day being under 18 years of age. Wilhelm and West were two of five prisoners who escaped from the Boone County jail Saturday night of July 5 by blocking cell locks and sawing their way out of the cage. They were rearrested on the night of July 8 as they were walking to Harrison on Highway 65 north of Harrison. They were held on petit larceny charges. Ralph Myrick and Claude Bennett J each charged with assault with in tent to kill entered pleas of guilty to aggravated assault and were each fined $50 and one hour in jail J. I Beckham charged with overdrafting was given a jury trial and entered a plea of not guilty was found guilty by the jury and fined $25 with judgement for fine and cost of the case. The case of J. K. Floyd appealed from the Justice of the Peace court on charges of being drunk was dis missed. The case of Jim Hillard charged with gaming was nolle pressed, missed upon payment of cost. The case of Sid Watson charged with gaming was nolle pressed. Four cases on the criminal docket were continued to next term of Circuit court. Ben Clark charged with petit larceny was continued and set for second day in January term. C. W. Simpson charged with possessing liquor was coritinued to next term. The case of Milton Mc Donald charged with, selling liquor and possession for sale was con tinued and set for the second day of the January term. The case of Dess Bynum for carnal abuse was continued.
