Our former superintendent of schools, G. A. Baumgardner, who is now at the head of the Shreve schools, was elected superintendent of schools for Wayne county by the county board at an meeting held in Wooster Saturday, dir. Baumgard ner has many friends in Sterling who will be ceased to note his promotion. The salary of the position fixed at $2600 per year. The superintend ent will pay his own expenses out of this sum. Mr. Baumgardner will be at the head of all the schools in Wayne county and in his offmal cap acity will no doubt visit the Sterling schools.
