Passing Away of Pioneers.Frank Barta, an old pioneer of this place died of cancer last Saturday morning at the age of 74 years, after an illness of about 15 days. On account of the very warm weather the remains were interred in the Catholic cemetery in town the following day Sunday in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends. The deceased was born in Bohemia and came to this country 31 years ago and made his home in Tabor. After 10 years he and his wife who survives him moved to Omaha where they lived until three years ago when they moved back to Taber. He was a kind old man who lived in peace with all. His aged wife remains to mourn his loss.
