Plans Nearly Completed For the Celebration Sudbury Citizens Arrange Interest ing Program For the Reunion. The committee of 10 citizens, having charge of the first annual Old Home Week observance in Sudbury, has held its final meeting in connestion with per fecting arrangements for the affair and everything points to a most successful and pleasant reunion of residents and former residents. An enthusiastic spirit is reported as existing in every section of the town and the home com ing next Wednesday bids fail to be quite general. All of the plans for the union religious service of Sunday morning July 96 at the First Parish church are completed and the hour of commencement on 10.90 o'clock. The Rev. David W. Goodale of Suffield, Conn., who for several years was pastor of the Sudbury Congrega tional church, is to deliver the sermon and parte in the service have been as signed to representatives of the Uni tarian and Methodist churches. The musical exercises on this occasion will be a special feature and singer from the different denominations are rehears ing for the occasion. There is to be a decoration of the church in honor of the event. In the evening a union praise and social service which has been placed In charge of Des. Francis F. Walker. It will occur in the town hall and this will doubtless prove a very en joyable occasion. On Wednesday, July 20th, the reunion of old friends is expected to be the chief feature although there will be public exercises in the Firet Parish church both forenoon and afternoon. With music by the American Watch Factory Erase band of Waltham the oc casion will be enlivened, and it is ex pected the venerable drummer, Charles Seymour of Sudbury, and Samuel Hold er of Hudson, who for many years has been favorably known in the country roundabout on account of his proficien cy in the line of fife playing, will be present and at intervals discourse mu sic of “ye olden time. During a portion of the forenoon the children and young people will be exercises in the church, pecially for their benefit, and the obs pect selected for presentation will be the lessons to be gained from the three historic memorials in the town, vis. the Wadsworth, Revolutionary and Oilvil war monuments. The speakers assigned for that duty are F. F. Walker, Rev. A. 8. Hudson and R. H. Hurlbut respec ‘tively. Mr. Howard Mason of Natick, supervisor of music in the public schools is to heave charge of the singing at the children's entertainment, and Hon. Ho mer Rogers, president of the day, will be in charge of the meeting. In the afternoon at 3 o'clock a public gathering will convene in the church, when brief addreses are to be made by prominent citizens and others. One of these is expected from U. S. Congress man Chbaries Quincy Tirrell. In the evening the Wayside Inn is to be the scene of a social and informal gathering, the town’s committee hav ing accepted an invitation from Land lord Edward R. Lemon in the direction of entertainment. That gentleman has generously offered to throw his hostel ry open free of charge on the 80th inst. ‘day and evening, and it is hoped many of the Sudbury people and their visit ing friends and relatives will avail them selves of the offered privilege. With a grand Old Home Week ball some of the dancing fraternity in town proposes to wind up the festivities of Wednesdy and for me as to the American Watch Co. band of Wal tham, six pieces, has been engaged. The affair occurs in the town hall and the reception committee is ccon stieted as follows: Winthrop H. Wairbank, Thomas F. O'Neil, Harry Maynard, Warren Hant, P. J. Mc Manus, Sylvester D. Perry, Harry W. Gilbert and William Goulding. Percival W. Jones will officiate as floor director and the aids selected consist of Harold Elms, William B. Miles, Herbert Newton, G. Parker Oviatt, Fred Bowman, Harry Par menter, Mahlon Palmer, George Howe, W. H. Fairbank, Louis Perry, and T O'Neil, Russell E. Haunt, the Framingham centerer, is to serve re freshments in the lower hall. A reception to old friends occurs from 8 to 9 o'clock and there is to be dancing from 9 until 1 o’clock.
