S,Barnstead, of Southwark, for supplying the government with .from filty to eghty thousand seta of tent polea-The United States aniny* regulation prescribes eight men to a tent, and at this rate provisions has been made in one contract alone for lodging oh thefield a force of ubout -100,000 men. But it is potjiwr easonab!e to suppose that there are others iivfhe country engaged in the same wojk.
