By ADEENA HAREST Staff Writer A young area woman is maintaining a positive attitude as she heals from injuries sus tained after a motor vehicle accident in Bald Eagle on June 26. Brooke Rorabaugh, 22, is currently staying at Epworth Manor in Tyrone after suffering from a broken pelvis, a broken hip and a neck fracture and undergoing operations at the Altoona Hospital. The staff at the Manor is helping to keep her comfortable as she heals and awaits physical rehabilita tion. “She has a good attitude she’s positive,” said Carol. “She does more than what she’s sup posed to because she says she’s ‘getting out of here.’” At an appointment at Altoona Trauma Center on Monday, it was reported that everything is looking good for Brooke and doctors are hoping she will not need further opera tions. As soon as she is able to bear weight on at least one foot, Brooke will begin rehabilita tion. “She’s coming along pretty good,” said Brooke’s mother, Carol Rorabaugh. “‘She is start ing to heal, but she has a long road ahead of her.” It is estimated that it will take eight months to a year before Brooke is fully recovered. Brooke had just begun thera py after a knee operation and had been taking time off of work when the car accident happened. A friend of hers who was driving the vehicle at the time is doing fine, said Carol.
