Country Club Pool Closed To ChildrenThe Statesville Country club swimming pool has oeen barred to children under 16 in an effort to prevent the spread of polio. A letter addressed to club members stated:“Due to presence of polio in Ir-deil county, no children under 16 will be allowed in the club swimming pool until further notice. We regret the necessity for this action. The above is in cooperation with the county health department.”The letter was signed by tne board of governors.
