Chase and R. W. Chase, of Grey- wa Y bull.P The trip over was made under some difficulty as it had rained all night be-n fere and continued nearly all day, vvh imaking the roads in some places nearly impassable. There were some good 5* pushers in the party, however, includ- jar e ir.g some of the ladies, and with their cel assistance all the cars were pulled and L‘ coaxed and pushed one at a time over the had places. The men of the party s even developed into fairly grad bridge l“ builders, finding it neoessary to pull sh e one car cut of a creek, where it had s|l*oken through the bridge, and then 1-111 rebuild the bridge so that the other c. rs could cross; and it rained, snowed ard hailed through the whole opera- p( lion.Grand Master Lemarr was unfor-tinate enough to tear the rear end out of his car on one the bad oPmbs ^ and had to leave it there, sending a* repair car out from Buffalo to got it in wi ! i'cr him. OiSome Of the party arrived in Buf- be falo at about midnight, the balance ‘in s jaggling along from then on till fit morning; all continuing on to Gillette O; ; the next day. The trip hack was made wi without any special incident, the roads 0j* being in fine condition. IP The party stopped a day at Buffalo pi1 on their return to look over the old \v home site, donated to the order by the pa* Buffalo lodge and some individual ()f members, reporting it to he a most*■ ideal place for an institution of that , {1 ‘ kind, being situated on the banks of so ^ Clear crock and extending up the can- 0f2 y n. LeMarr, of Rock n( Spings, Grand Representative. vvAt the session of the grand lodge r of the Odd Fellows at Gillette last jt v week the “home” question was settled : ai ’ for all time. Buffalo now has the tj, e home, and through resolutions passed (ll c‘ at that session funds were providedII for so that it is only a matter of a- ) short time until the home will he (]f opened. The offers of donations of . j 320 acres of land by the Buffalo lodge at k and 160 acres by C. N. Walters and Walters Co. were unanimously accept- jn^ ea. At first there was a little, oppo- (]lt; sition, hut when the report was sub- cl mitted by the “home” committee, and jT read, the opposition switched with the ^ result of a unanimous vote. The Buf- p falo offer of a site for a home for aged jz 1 Odd Fellows cannot be duplicated, as v-it carries with it the water right fot \\320 acres from the state of Wyoming, p and also a contract with the Buffalo* Manufacturing Co. to furnish the f; ’ heme with electricity. Buffalo is theideal place for the home and with th-’ large acreage and irrigation the home pcan be made self-sustaining. a;Douglas won out over Rawlins an«l 0 ; Lander in the contest for next year’s T : grand lodge session on the first ballot, p ^ by an overwhelming vote. tlThe grand lodge officers elected at ^ s the Rehekah assembly for the year K3 1022-23 are Edna B.
