DEVOUT V CRSHIPPKR8.On Sunday morning a number of worshippers met together in the piazza of the Ward house, at 11 o’clock, and listened to Rev. Dr. W. M. Leftwich, who fascinated his hearers with words of eloquence and truth, from Mat, ft, Hth verse. Thecon-gregation, if I may so term them, were more than pleased with the good Dr’s efforts, and are hoping for a like treat at an early day. The Dr. lucidly explained his text, and prowed the necessity of a pure heart, andfervently exhortqd his hearers to live holy lives for without holiness no man can see theLord.
