Augousta, of Aux Cayes, June 4, 1800. “TI Yesterday fell in with and captured off Jicmel, two Frenchchronets, one called La Vittorie, and the other La Jeanne of St. Domin go, both of which I conceive it my duty to send home for trial. The papers of each vessel are sealed up separately and delivered to the respect ive prize-masters, viz. those of the Jeanne to Mr. David Deacon, and that is the Victorie to Mr. John Young.’” NEW YORK, FALT 10. 4 Monste x.—At a court of quarter-fessions of the peace held yesterday at the city hall, in and for the city and county of New York, Rich ard D Croucher (one of the principal evidences on the late trial of Levi Weeks, was indited for it committed on the body of Margaret Miller, an infant of 13 years old, accompanied ‘by circumsances of atrocity almost without a ‘parallel. ‘The prosecution was conduced by the assistant attorney general, with candom, on the part of the Rate ; and the culprit was Send ed by Meffers Wathington Morten and Brack ‘tholé Livi . ‘The evidence of the unfortu nate girl was simple, clear, correct, and impres sive.
