suddenly at his home near Elk mont at 6:15 o’clock Monday morning of a heart attack. Mr. Usery had just gone to his barn to look after his cows when death claimed him. Funeral services were con ducted at the Elkmont Metho dist church at four o’clock Tuesday afternoon by Rev. A. R. Hardiman, McConnell Ser vice in charge. Mr. Usery was much beloved, a fact evidenced by the long line of cars which accompanied the remains to the City cemetery in Athens, where interment took place. The deceased is survived by his widow, a son, Stephen, and a daughter, Marcia, besides his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Usery; three brothers, Coy, David and John, and three sisters, Mrs. Viola Hobbs, Mrs. Bertha Wallace and Miss Ruth Usery. Pallbearers were John, Coy and Dave Usery, Max Hobbs, Howard Wallace, Robert Sand lin, Raymond Russell and Jim my Cain.
