Wife Badly Injured When Auto Runs Into Disabled Car From This City An automobile accident happening about 1.15 o'clock this morning took the life of Eugene W. Hersey of 42 Hanking street and sent three others to a hospital. It happened on the Lafayette Road one-eighth of a mile this side of Hampton Falls square. The dead man and his wife were riding in the rumble seat of a road ster driven by Donat Bilodeau of 158 Fleet street, when the car crashed in to another car operated by Emmett Duffy of 377 Thornton street, this city, which was parked on the side of the highway with a broken axle. Mr. Hersey was removed in a truck to the Anna Jacques Hospital, New buryport, where he died in 15 minutes after arriving there. Mrs. Hersey was taken in a private car to the Portsmouth Hospital where she was found to have a possible frac ture of the skull, fractured nose and contusions. The driver, Mr. Bilodeau, was also removed to the Portsmouth Hospital. He had some teeth knocked out and received several cuts on the face and head. His condition is not considered serious. Miss Ola Ramsdell of Pickering St., another member of the party, is at the Anna Jacques Hospital with minor injuries. Chief of Police Arthur W. Chase of Hampton Falls and Chief Inspector Maurice Dwyer of the Motor Vehicle Department investigated the case. Mr. Hersey is the son of the Mt. Ralph J. Hersey, and Mrs. Forrest Fogg. He has been employed for some time as a driver for the Standard Oil Co. He is survived by his wife and two children, Beatrice and Eugene Hersey.
