meThe committee appointed to select the best varieties of apples made the following report: That the society unhesitatingly recommend the following varieties of apples for general cultivation in Flathead county: For early fall apples—Yellow Transparent and Red June; fall apples—Duchess and Alexander; winter apples—Wealthy and McIntosh Red. Those recommended as worthy of trial wore Aikin, Longtield and Delawaro Red.The following now members joined tho society: Fred Whiteside, W. M. Cramer and wife, A1 Tait, John Wathers and wife, Helena Nye, F. A. Disbrow, George Betzer, Mrs. Emma Anderson, Miss Den-zie Marcoe, Miss Lillie Clothier, Miss Rose Thomas and Miss Rachel Gibbs.It was the ununiraous opinion of all tho old members present that this was one of tho best meetings over held by the society.
