AUT-ifle-ell5WbyadmoneniSSjIatatntoritlieveeden*I’se?netestimonial from President MbKinley.Prohi’» MlHfortune.John F. Kinsey, our late candidate for treasurer of state, and president and owner of the Lafayette Echo Music Company, met with a severe misfortune last week. Fire broke out in the third story of his large publishing house, and spread with such fury that a lady employe came nearly losing her life. Mr. Kinsey had valuable machi nery on this floor which is ruined, and in addition to this a flood of water destroyed about 8,000 music books of various kinds which had been made ready for the fall trade. The loss is variously estimated at from seven to ten thousand dollars, and only partially covered by insurance. Prof. Kinsey has not said what his plans will he for business in this city, but he is of the “never-give-up” style of men and will light squarely on his feet ready for business.I. S.
